Mar 31, 2016 A Virtual Trip to Thailand with Google
I’ve never really explored the Google Street View until now. I just found out that a Thai triathlete, Panupong Luangsa-ard carried a 18kg 360 degree camera and walked around 500km for about 2 years to capture those hard to reach places that a Google Street View vehicle simply cannot reach. Luangsa-ard covered a total of 500,000km during his travels and burned through four pairs of shoes while walking through the tea plantations and strawberry fields. Besides Thailand, I thought the other destinations they provide on Google Street View Gallery were pretty interesting. It gives me a little preview of where I want to go next.
