According to the Wall Street Journal, Instagram is launching an update that allows users to upload videos up to 1 hour in length. Although you can share videos longer than a minute on Instagram via live stream, maximum length on Instagram posts are 1 minute long; Instastory posts are 15 seconds respectively. Instagram has also held talks with content creators and influencers about producing exclusive content once the update launches. If said report is correct, this will be Instagram’s first attempt to convert users from Youtube, similar to how they did Snapchat with Instastories.
