We’re entering the “Internet of Things” era, some of you may already be dipping your toes in with such products as the Nest thermostat. In a few more years there will likely be affordable ways to link up your entire home. And who will be there to help? A new member of the family, meet Jibo.
Reminiscent the HAL 9000 from 2001: A Space Odyssey but friendlier and given less important tasks. At present Jibo has surpassed their initial crowdfunding goal of $100,000 and is up to $2,000,000. The future looks good for Jibo, and I hope to see some in action by early 2016, a further step into the Internet of Things.
