Jordan Brand Debuts the Air Jordan XXX3

Although Michael Jordan has been retired for 15 years, the legacy of the Air Jordan line continues to evolve with the Air Jordan XXX3. Jordan Brand continues to push the boundaries and that’s apparent as they’ve gotten rid of your traditional lacing system for their Fast Fit lacing system. Wearers will be able to loosen and tighten cables with a single pull similarly seen on snowboarding boots.

Inspired by space suits as well as the Jordan III, the XXX3 blends innovation with the storied history of the Air Jordan line. “Applying FastFit allowed for a balance of art and science in the design,” said designer XXX3 Tate Kuerbis in a statement. “We were inspired by how space suits look and function. It’s all very utilitarian, and the various elements and what they do are all clearly called out. Thinking about this led us to highlight the pull cord, eject cord and the inner workings of FastFit, and make the function integral to the aesthetic and graphic integrity of the design.”

The Jordan XXX3 has a large Zoom Air unit in the forefoot as well as a Hex Zoom Air unit in the heel for ultimate impact protection. In addition the newest update to the FlightPlate which helps distribute weight and optimizes energy return which now uses the carbon fiber plate seen on the Nike Zoom Vaporfly 4%.

The Air Jordan XXX3 will release on 10/18/18 for $175.
