We are now in the fourth year of Knockaround Class Acts, an ongoing campaign that aims to donate money, resources, and art supplies to local elementary schools with limited budgets.

This year we visited three local San Diego schools and received almost 500 student design submissions! With so many great designs, it was hard to choose just one. But in the end, one colorful design with an optimistic message really stood out: 5th-grader Jayden Crenshaw’s “After the Storm” Premiums!

Jayden’s unique sunglasses feature frosted Rainstorm Grey fronts, Cloudbreak Blue lenses, and rainbow covered arms. Pulling inspiration from Jayden’s original drawing, a small cloud logo has been laser etched on the upper corner of the left lens. Each pair also comes with a Knockaround sticker, grass green microfiber pouch, and a blue poncho (to tide you over until the rainbow appears.)

But here’s the best part! 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these glasses will be donated to the participating schools and ArtReach, an awesome San Diego organization that brings more art to elementary classrooms!

In describing his “After the Storm” shades, Jayden wrote, “I did this because I like rainbows and I thought it would be cool.” Jayden, you were right: it is cool.
