Jul 03, 2015 POW! WOW! Long Beach 2015 BTS
Well, it’s finally over! POW! WOW! Long Beach came and went last week – with world class artistic talent descending on Long Beach to paint murals and brighten up some walls with an expert touch. What an amazing week! You can see a lot of the completed murals on the POW! WOW! Long Beach Instagram account. Martin Wong and Calvin Nakamaru have both posted excellent recaps here too – so scroll down for those! The event was definitely a feat of a teamwork of contributors, bolstered by dozens of generous volunteers, all working in unison – for the sake of art. I think we successfully imported a little bit of the aloha spirit too. I thought I’d share some more behind-the-scenes footage here, to show off some of the incredible work that went into the mural festival, and also to share what it’s like to be on hand for the fun.
