We were thrilled to discover that the good people at tech news source Mashable recently included the Solar app from the IVL Hollr partnership on their recent “9 Super Simple Apps That Will Make Your Life Easier” article. It’s yet another wonderful example of the recognition that Solar has earned for its ground-breaking approach to design and UX. Solar was truly ahead of its time in the sense that before Solar, weather apps tended to look awful, and post-Solar, design-oriented weather apps have almost become the norm. Even native weather apps from the likes of Apple and Yahoo point to an increased attention to design. The article also features a useful app which reminds you to meditate, another which helps you stay focused on problems for a short time, an improved calendar app, even an app which will apparently help you recycle “almost anything.”
