Let me introduce to you the hands down best iPhone camera app out on the market today: SnappyCam. There are several other camera apps out there built specifically for speed but none come even remotely close to touching SnappyCam. It is five times faster than the iPhone 5 camera and twice as fast as the Samsung Galaxy S4 camera. And that’s not even the best part – SnappyCam can take full 8 megapixel resolution photos at a rate of 20 frames per second. Let me say that again: FULL 8 MEGAPIXEL RESOLUTION AT 20 FRAMES PER SECOND. Maintaining hi-res quality at high speeds is unheard of on a phone’s camera, but SnappyCam was able to achieve this through a breakthrough in the iPhone’s algorithm. In other words, they took Apple’s existing technology/software and just did it better.
The selling point for me? You can seamlessly take continuous shots, then go back and choose your best image. It’s basically as if you are shooting video and then choosing the best frame as your hi-res photo.
