After beefs, lawsuits and squabbles, Lil Wayne’s fifth chapter in the Carter series has finally arrived. For many fans this seemed to be this generation’s Detox, with false promises and a whole bunch a setbacks to this album that always seemed an arms length away. The album feels and sounds like the Weezy fans all know, yet has glimpses of the present with new flows and features from artists who were just fans when the “Carter IV” dropped.
The 23 track album has features from Nicki Minaj, Kendrick Lamar and the late XXXTENCATION, the biggest surprise isn’t a feature, it’s the lack thereof. Drake’s absence from “Tha Carter V”. “Tha Carter V” can be found on all streaming services and iTunes.
