Upcycling the old identity

Domino’s Pizza has recently updated their logo and they’re promoting it with an interesting campaign. Whenever a company goes through a rebranding there is a lot of waste created, anything with an old logo is usually trashed or destroyed. Domino’s has begun an upcycling of sorts with items with their retired logo. The process is all being documented on their pinterest.

There’s pieces of artwork and more functional blank notebooks crafted from pizza boxes. Items are on sale by individual artists via etsy.

But with over 10,000 franchise locations in the US and over 5,000 internationally, there will be a lot of “old” logo refuse to work with, hopefully they take this further than they’ve already have or else most of it will still end up in landfills.
