Asking for the color is another way to ask for the time with James E. Murphy’s What Colour Is It? web app. His new clock web app translates the current time into its corresponding hexadecimal color code. So 8 o’clock (8:00:00) is interpreted as #080000, which makes the background a dark turquoise green. Not only is it interesting to see how the hues change color by the second, but it’s also a great way to memorize some hexadecimal color-codes while staring at the mesmerizing clock.
